Chuck Todd’s Fake News Faceplant

In this modern-day political climate where the lamestream media is just an extension of the Democratic National Committee and Joe Biden’s presidential campaign, not a day goes by without these “journalists” reporting false information or letting their implicit bias show in their stories.

The latest perpetrator? NBC’s Chuck Todd and his Sunday show Meet the Press.

Fox News’ Gregg Re reports:

NBC News' Chuck Todd aired a deceptively edited clip of Attorney General Bill Barr discussing the Michael Flynn case during his "Meet the Press" broadcast on Sunday, prompting the network to concede the mistake hours later -- but there is still no word on whether Todd will apologize on-air.

Asked by CBS News' Catherine Herridge how history would judge the DOJ's decision to move to dismiss the Flynn case, Barr initially responded, laughing: "Well, history is written by the winners, so it largely depends on who's writing the history."

After the brief clip aired, Todd remarked that he was "struck by the cynicism of the answer -- it's a correct answer, but he's the attorney general. He didn't make the case that he was upholding the rule of law. He was almost admitting that, yeah, this was a political job."

There was just one major problem with this segment. The video Todd aired was adroitly clipped to take the attorney general out of context in a duplicitous effort to criticize his handling of the Michael Flynn case.

The section of the video aired Sunday morning was conveniently cut off right before Barr went on to discuss exactly for which Todd lambasted him. Barr in his CBS interview went on to say, “But I think a fair history would say that it was a good decision because it upheld the rule of law. It helped. It upheld the standards of the Department of Justice, and it undid what was an injustice.”

Call us crazy, but contrary to Chuck Todd’s analysis, it sounds like the attorney general made a point to discuss the rule of law.

In a time where all of the “mistakes” made by these major news networks are one-sided, it’s hard to imagine this was just an editing error. From nonstop coverage of the Russia hoax to reporting false information on President Trump’s handling of the coronavirus, these shows have a political agenda: doing whatever it takes to help President Trump lose reelection.
