Steve Cortes to join America First Action PAC as Senior Adviser and Spokesman

January 20, 2020 – Steve Cortes has joined America First Action PAC as a Senior Adviser and Spokesman. America First Action is the only official super PAC dedicated to supporting President Donald J. Trump’s re-election effort.

“Steve Cortes is a strong communicator whose support for the President is unwavering. His leadership, experience and ability to reach voters will be an invaluable asset in advancing the America First agenda,” said Brian O. Walsh, president of America First Action. 

“I am honored to join a team whose sole mission it is to get this President re-elected,” said Cortes. “We must continue to promote President Trump’s historic economic gains, especially within the Hispanic community. President Trump’s policies are lifting up the forgotten men and women in America, and I’m excited to take his record of accomplishment directly to the voters.”

Cortes will join former White House Press secretary Sean Spicer in the senior adviser and spokesman role. 

Cortes has appeared daily on national TV news programs for over a decade. His broadcast career began at CNBC. In 2016, Cortes became a TV surrogate for President Trump and was named to President Trump’s Hispanic Advisory Council. Post-election, Cortes served as a political commentator for CNN. As one of the few broadcasters who has worked on-air for all three major cable news channels, Cortes draws upon his 25-year career on Wall St. when discussing key economic issues. Cortes formerly served as head strategist for BGC Partners, providing risk management strategies to banks and global funds.
