The Biden #Metoo Double-Standard
By now, no one should be surprised the fake news media is on Team Biden. After Tara Reade, a former Joe Biden senatorial staffer, accused Biden of sexual assault, the press waited more than five weeks to even question Biden about the claim. It wasn’t that the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee wasn’t doing interviews – he did 19 with news outlets across the country, where he was asked 142 questions, but not a single one about Reade’s claims.
The lame-stream media’s #Metoo hypocrisy and political agenda knows no end, especially when it comes to MSNBC lightweight Nicole Wallace.
From calling President Trump the enemy to suggesting the silver lining of coronavirus is that it will hurt the President’s re-election chances, Wallace does not try to hide her Trump Derangement Syndrome. However, her intellectual dishonesty reached another level this weekend when she defended Joe Biden’s sexual assault claims by shift-blaming to Republicans.
Julio Rosas reports for Townhall:
MSNBC host Nicolle Wallace accused Republicans of trying to use Tara Reade and the sexual assault allegation she has made to run a "smear campaign" against former Vice President Joe Biden.
Biden finally addressed the claim Reade made, where she said Biden sexually assaulted her in a hallway in 1993, during a Friday interview on MSNBC. Biden adamantly denies the incident took place.
"I think that this is a year without campaigns. Without a campaign trail, without a campaign press corps. And the silver lining, if you will, is that voters will have to watch that interview this morning and make their own judgments. There are no more arbiters in either party. And having once been a part of the Republican Party, the right is not running an honest operation to get to the bottom of whether Tara Reade was victimized. The right is running a smear campaign against Joe Biden," Wallace said on Friday.
Wallace claimed Democrats were at least trying to have some consistency when it comes to sexual assault allegations.
What consistency exactly?
When Brett Kavanaugh was up for the Supreme Court nomination and was accused of sexual impropriety by Christine Blasey Ford – with a lot less to support those claims than Reade’s against Biden – Wallace “got chills,” when one of her guests said Republicans were in a “no-win” situation with his nomination.
After Kavanaugh took the stand to defend himself and his family from the allegation and shed some tears, Wallace commented that was the “human carnage” the President promised in his inauguration speech.
And when President Trump questioned Ford’s claims at a rally, Wallace scolded Trump rally-goers with a warning, “we saw your faces,” she said.
So when the allegations were again Kavanaugh, Wallace defended women, but now that the allegations are against Biden, investigating such claims constitute a smear campaign.
It’s disgusting how members of the media hide behind the facade of journalism to promote DNC talking points.
However, the real question is: Why should we expect any actual reporting from an MSNBC’s anchor who thanked Biden seven times in 25 seconds for joining her show?
